“As an educator primarily involved in tertiary art education, I feel strongly that privileging art and facilitating art in the formative years of a child is especially important. It is an area that is open ended and thus vital for creative development, yet it is super fragile. Hence much is needed to privilege it and empower it. Hopefully someone will share this ideal, support the fund raising, so that the money raised can be used to purchase lots and lots of art materials for the kids to doodle with.
