Synopsis:
Follow a multimedia presentation/performance of a pathological journey into the moments of creation in the mind of a digital artist. It is a one-of-a-kind hybrid presentation combining digital media, performance, lecture, interaction and real-time creation.
The presentation gives insight to the preparation that goes behind creative work, dealing with the unknowns of the ‘end product’, the importance, necessity and issues of individuality, the formal vs the abstract and their connection to the visible and experiental.
After thoughts:
Really have to thank everyone for the very successful session. It is always tough trying to address an audience of varying needs. But hey we did it. Almost everyone did stay throughout. The NTU students who stayed on and fired me questions, man, you fellas really made it all worthwhile amidst my crushing backache. Those were very pertinent, good, engaged questions you asked and do I wished we had more time to go much deeper.
To the sponsors, I just can’t thank Apple (Eric Goh), Wacom (Peripheral Solutions, Mr Chew, Angela), Epson (Kent, Roy), and the guys from the NTU Siggraph Students Chapter, enough for their unfettered support. The amount of preparation that had to go into just 90-120 minutes is deeply appreaciated.
Thank you guys.
