My site became completely messed up after some kind chap posted some comments. Well the upside to the whole thing is, it forces me to reload everything and probably have to redesign it.
What you learn to take things positively, you don’t get hurt by such stuff.

Finally, after a bit of refresher on wordpress, the web site is finally back in shape. Implemented a dock gallery. Still needing a few more modifications, but it is pretty much back firing on its cylinders.

Thanks to the S3C Committee of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), especially to Deputy Director Mr John Soh for his recommendtion and support, a collection of 5 works from 3 different series are now permenant exhibits of the Staff Center of NYP.

I feel very proud to be able to share these works at the staff center, right at the entrance space, welcoming staff to the center. The whole idea is to create an ambience that transports staff stepping into the center, immediately to a place very placid, very far removed from work.
Hence to be allowed by the committee full control in setting up the exhibits and space — colors of the wall, lightings, framing, mounting, art work selection and spatial arrangment, contributed to the final experiential quality of the exhibits.

Thank You also goes to the staff, for your very generous compliments. It is very rewarding to learn that you, your family, relatives and friends enjoyed and engaged with the works.

Exhibition @ Novosibirsk State Art Museum, Russia
aniGma 2007

Thanks to the invitation from Andrea Martynov, I was in Novosibirsk to showcase my works to the Russian people. 12 of my recent works were on display. I thank everyone for their very kind and generous reviews. Also my thanks goes to the 3 Russian National TV stations that did interviews on me. I must admit, I have no clue what your comments were. But the questions asked where definitely very pertinent and of quality.
Andrey, I can’t thank you enough. It is amazing how you pulled this wonderful exhibition together. It is no wonder the show aniGma has become the definitive Contemporary Digital Art show in Russia.

“As an educator primarily involved in tertiary art education, I feel strongly that privileging art and facilitating art in the formative years of a child is especially important. It is an area that is open ended and thus vital for creative development, yet it is super fragile. Hence much is needed to privilege it and empower it. Hopefully someone will share this ideal, support the fund raising, so that the money raised can be used to purchase lots and lots of art materials for the kids to doodle with. The best thing happens through play.” — yt

NEWS — little Nuts class

Posted in NEWS on February 22nd, 2007 by admin

For the past 11 years, I have given myself to the advancement of applied arts in a wonderful tertiary institution. it has taught me lost of precious things about art, education, and very importantly about life. whilst I will continue to contribute to the two diploma programs (Digital Media Design, and Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design) as program director, I am starting my own little initiative in an informal art workshop over weekends.
The initiative aims at sharing, to young and old, precious connections I have made through art. It will also create an opportunity for me to learn together and from a spectrum of individuals whom I would otherwise not be able to work with.

The workshop starts 3rd March 2007 over at my adobe.
Interested parties please email: email me at tienyang@nutsidea.net or call (65) 97277440
The official website for the nuts workshop is found here —-> my little music
Thanks. Cheers and See U!
